Autoimmune liver diseases such as autoimmune hepatitis (AIH), primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) pose ongoing clinical challenges due to their complexity, overlapping features, and limited treatment options. This educational event brings together national and international experts to share the latest insights into disease mechanisms, diagnostic tools, long-term management strategies, and emerging therapies.

The course opens with a state-of-the-art lecture on PSC, followed by sessions exploring new treatments, transplant timing, and the interplay between PSC and IBD. A dedicated session on miscellaneous but clinically relevant topics will cover CNI use, cholestatic pruritus, and innovations like organoids and pediatric liver transplantation.

The afternoon sessions focus on AIH, overlap syndromes, and PBC, emphasizing pathogenesis, noninvasive monitoring, and future therapeutic directions. Case-based discussions will promote interactive learning and clinical application.

Given the critical role of liver transplantation in advanced stages of autoimmune liver diseases, special attention will be dedicated to transplantation indications, outcomes, and post-transplant management in these patients.
